PERIODIC LIMB MOVEMENT

Periodic limb movement disorder (PLMD) is a disorder caused by rhythmic movements of the limbs during sleep. The movement of the limbs often cause daytime sleepiness and can sometimes be linked to restless leg syndrome, however they are not the same thing. In some cases, individuals can have PLMD without showing any symptoms. If you feel you may have PLMD, it is recommended you reach out to your physician.
