Sleep Specialists
In addition to our Medical Director, Michael P. Biber, MD, Neurocare works with sleep specialists who have outside private sleep medicine practices.  These sleep specialists perform sleep study interpretations and ensure quality testing and diagnosis.

Assistance with arranging specialist consultations
Neurocare offers resources for all aspects of sleep medicine care in addition to the diagnostic testing performed at our facilities.  Neurocare, with over 20 years experience with sleep diagnostic testing operations, has high standards for the service providers with which it works, and can assist you, and your patients, in recommending follow-up treatment through introduction to broader referral sources.

If the sleep specialist who interprets your patient’s sleep study recommends follow-up care based on the sleep study results, you may refer your patient to the independent practice of that specialist, or Neurocare can answer questions regarding our other credentialed interpreting physicians. We can also direct you to other industry referral services including the Massachusetts Medical Society’s referral service.

Another approach preferred by some physicians is to refer the symptomatic patient to a sleep specialist prior to the sleep study, and the specialist can manage your patient’s testing and follow-up treatment.  Others prefer to manage the patient with the assistance of specialists.  Neurocare is prepared to work with you in managing your patients’ needs.
